Perfect Day - Big Cats

I got to feed Three Snow leopards, two Sri Lankan Leopards and a Cheetah today, Awesome!

My Daughter treated me to the day and my Wife accompanied me, had a look around the zoo until I had to meet the keeper, then went off for a safety brief and on to feed the Cats,  Fed a young female (18months), then the Female (Mother), when the Male came along and told the others to clear off, he then demanded I fed him, they are such beautiful creatures, to see and hear them so close is fantastic.

The Snow Leopards had three cubs last year, one stayed and the others were sent abroad to expand the breeding program for them, and that is something I'm in favour of, I know some people don't like zoo's but in this day and age it is needed to protect rare species.

The Cheetah is new and shy of the keepers, so was not really interested in some hairy fat middle aged bloke trying to feed him, he came close in the end but I had to drop the food for him.

The Sri Lankan Leopards, are just so Beautiful, the Male was out and saw us coming with the food and feeding tongs, he was like a Puppy pleased to see it's owner! I dropped a piece of meat before getting it through the mesh and in a blink he had caught it lower down on on of his claws.

So much went on but although exciting for me, it is probably boring for you
