I guess they look like Chicken chicks, taken on a busy path in a garden open to the public, Hot Sun beating down on them, people walking within a couple of feet of them, i thought the Hen might have shooed them off somewhere more shady and quiet.
Very nice one! Love the way momma looks down real close.
As far as I know peacocks originate from Asia, India in particular, so the heat would not have been an issue. But I would have thought having people trundling past would be.
Allowed for a very good shot though, so thanks to the momma.
I've never seen baby peafowls before. It's quite surprising how much they look like chicken chicks, as you say -- I suppose it's easy to forget, what with all their finery, that peafowl are just pheasants. I like baby galliformes because of the contrast of their fluff + their dinosaur feet.
This is an excellent capture, and the composition is so good it looks as though you staged it.

Thanks guess you're right about the heat, but those chicks are so small and were on concrete slabs, i was laying on the slabs to take the photo and it felt very warm.
Thanks very much, i had walked past them so the sun was behind me and laid on the floor to get to their level, had to shuffle back as i was to close to focus with the lens i was using, so i would say that was pretty much staged just happy they stayed put while i got ready.
