Marsh Tit (Parus palustris).

Not to be confused with the Willow Tit, there are subtle differences, the Marsh does not have the pale wing panel that the Willow has, it also has a neater looking bib and cap.

This little chap was caught for a ringing/banding program.

I have other images of Marsh Tits on branches but thought this one shows just how dainty they are.

Handling birds like this is a job for registered ringers, people who know what they are doing.

yeah it reminds me of the little cuban finch......we have them here in bahamas....they are called tomegin..they have a beautiful bright yellow color around their necks.....only the males....

Weird. It looks like your photographer's grip is different from ours-- or maybe the bander was just doing something different? Beautiful bird, though!
