One of a pair i have been watching for the last couple of months, they had nested in a hollow tree trunk, unfortunately the last couple of weeks i have not been to see them as much as i would have liked and missed seeing the young leave the nest  First shot that i have managed of a full bird, so only just noticed that one of them has a ring. For anyone interested, it has been great watching them, the male swapping with the female to sit on the nest so she could eat in a tree nearby, then to see him bring food and her collect it to take into the nest, i guess the latter was because the young had hatched. |
