Heather

An image I really want to post, unfortunately a sad tale...

Heather is a Peregrine Falcon cross, she unfortunately passed away yesterday, this image was taken on Saturday.

Birds can hide illness very well and when it is noticed can often be too late, the cause is not yet known in this instance.

Heather was a rescued bird who was brought to great health and lived the last six years with a great Falconer Gary, her age was not known when she first came to him but she was an adult bird.

Very sad time for Gary and his wingman Ian, the attachment between man and bird was very strong, the time and effort put into bringing injured/rescued birds to good health is immense, the bonding they have when training is very deep, this makes the loss very painful indeed.
