Barn Owl (Tyto alba).
Saw this rather damp Youngster on the way home, shot from the car window, he had obviously managed to catch some dinner and did not take any notice of me other than turning to look at me to get this shot. I had gone out last night to rescue a bird that appeared to have collided with a car, unfortunately the bird did not survive  so i was Happy to see this one doing well.The recent wet weather is probably making the species suffer badly as they cannot fly for very long in the rain due to their feathers absorbing water, unlike other birds who`s feathers repel water, so rainy weather means less hunting time. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. You can think of anything you want, just make sure you still respect the theme. You can choose to illustrate dreams, nightmares or even both of them. Anything you want!
